Weeds in the alley need to be removed and bushes and trees growing into the alley need to be trimmed back making it possible for cars and trucks to easily pass.

From a public health perspective we need to give some attention to the trash receptacles. City code #1060.02 requires that cans have tight fitting lids and that cans are in good condition, rodent proof and watertight.

It is important this time of year to try to keep standing water to a minimum to decrease areas   where mosquitoes and other insects can breed possibly causing public health issues such as West Nile virus.

Trash containers that do not meet code provide an unlimited food source to rodents and other nuisance wildlife. Please take a minute to check your alleys for some of the conditions listed and if they exist take appropriate action to correct the violations of city code.
