Tim Madison, President of Council

Leadership: Council President
Term: January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019
Contact: tmadison@bexley.org

Tim is the President of Bexley City Council, formerly serving as the Chairman of the Finance and Judiciary Committee and the Strategic Committee. Tim is the Bexley City Council Liaison to the Bexley Board of Education, Bexley Community Foundation, Bexley Education Foundation, Bexley Celebrations Association, and the Bexley Eastmoor Berwick Realtors Association.

Tim’s goals as Council President include for Council to be more proactive, than reactive; initiate a Council mentor program; obtain a Council Intern/Legislative Aid; make the Liaison program more robust; review the Strategic Plan, Mission and Vision Statements; fulfill the purpose and intent of the separation of powers and checks and balances of the Legislative branch of government; continue development of Main Street, Cassady Avenue, and Ferndale-Mayfield; finalize the Zoning Code Modernization process; commence and complete the Southwest Master Plan; and continue to maintain a balanced Budget.

Tim’s ideas as a Councilman include the Bexley Blast; the Alternative Revenue Task Force; the allocation of City funds to hire an additional police officer; an internship program with Capital University and Ohio State University law schools to assist the Bexley City Attorney; a division of budget review responsibilities among Council members; and a revised Council appeal process.

Tim is a long-time resident of Bexley and is involved in numerous Bexley civic and charitable activities, including being a founder and Chair of the Bexley 4th of July Fireworks and Evening Activities Committee, Charity Newsies, and a founder  of Team Bexley for Pelotonia.

Tim is a partner in the law firm of Madison & Rosan, LLP, concentrating on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate and real estate and business litigation. Tim is the proud Father of five amazing children, all students in the Bexley City Schools.
