Community Clean-Up Day will be held April 24th.   Mark your calendars to join volunteers from Friends of Alum Creek and City officials to help clean-up the community.  Event will be held at Pump House Park beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Live band and cookout will follow.  This is a great way to celebrate "Earth Day" and give back to the community.  Family event open to all ages. 

The 3rd annual "Ride Bexley Ride For Choices" will be held on May 22nd beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Jeffrey Mansion.  This event is a casual, family bike ride or walk which raises funds for the "Choices", a non-profit organization that helps vicitims of domestic violence.  All entry fees go directly to Choices.  This fun ride goes past the Governor's Mansion as well as Dr. Gee's residence.  Last year, both the first lady and Dr. Gee welcomed the riders and walkers.  The Columbus Zoo brought in live animals for the participants' enjoyment as well.  Don't miss this fun family event that benefits a great cause.

The U.S. Census will be taken on April 1, 2010.  Every household will be mailed a form with 10 simple questions to complete and mail back in a postage paid envelope.  It is important that the Census get an accurate count of our city's population.  Please read more here about what happens when the form is not mailed back or how to identify a Census-taker should one need to visit you.

Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery invites central Ohio photographers and dog-lovers to enjoy unique perspectives of man’s best friend captured by famed American photojournalist Elliott Erwitt at the upcoming exhibition Elliott Erwitt: Dog Dogs Friday, Feb. 12, through Wednesday, March 31.  You even have an opportunity to submit pics of your favorite canine to be displayed at the opening reception on February 12th.  Read all about the exhibit and how to submit photos here: http://www.capital.edu/28487/
