The City of Bexley is a beautiful, tree-lined community suburb surrounded by Columbus. It is the crown jewel of Columbus’ east side. We are just minutes from the airport, Ohio State University, and downtown Columbus. It is known for the excellent schools along with a variety of homes ranging from family starters to estate sized mansions. Bexley offers exceptional service to the residents including a Recreation and Parks Department which offers year around programs for children to seniors. Bexley has an outdoor swimming complex, several parks and is home to the Governor’s Mansion as well as the President of Ohio State University.
The history of Bexley dates back to the mid-1800’s when the area began to develop along the National Road. Bexley maintains a quiet dignity that has made it one of the finest communities in Ohio. Bexley now is home to Capital University, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus School for Girls and St. Charles Preparatory School, along with the excellent Bexley Public School System. In addition, Bexley residents have a large selection of churches and synagogues.
Our Main Street district offers ice cream, catering, children’s clothing, pizza parlors, theatre, galleries, coffee shops, salons, florists, stationery shops, jewelers, barbers, women’s fashions and many more. In the summer, stroll down Main Street while enjoying free musical performances and a variety of outdoor dining.
My administration is strongly committed to the success and support of any business or family that calls Bexley their “home”. It is our hope that you will enjoy working, living, shopping or just visiting our great City. We are proud of our community and the residents who make Bexley “a special place to live”.
Sincerely,
John M. Brennan, Mayor City of Bexley 2242 East Main Street Bexley, Ohio 43209 |
