Events throughout the day from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Bexley pool parking lot
The 2nd Annual Jeffrey Woods Festival will be held on Saturday, March 4th starting at 8am at the David H. Madison Community Pool parking lot. Join us as we explore, harvest, and create from the beautiful trees that make up the arboretum that is Bexley. The Jeffrey Woods Festival will include the making of the community-renowned Kelveden Maple Syrup, the Wood Chop Shop (Registration Required), a sawmill workshop, wood working demonstrations, and much more!
Here's a schedule of events for the day:
8:00 am - 2:00 pm: Maple Syrup Production
8:00 am - 2:00 pm: Wood Chop Shop
9:00 am: Sawmill Workshop
9:00 am to 11:00 am: Yellowood Design Studio - axe restoration demonstrations & sales
11:00 am: Wood Working Project with Bexley Furniture Maker Steve Walker (this is an interactive, kid-friendly project)
1:00 pm: Cutting Board Demonstration
Note that the maple syrup workshop and wood chop shop require registration in order to officially participate, although residents are encouraged to observe any and all activities throughout the morning. For those not registering, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn about the City's use of forest resources.
