Announcing BexALERT Active Notification System

The City of Bexley is pleased to announce the launch of the City’s BexALERT Active Notification System, which is being launched in partnership with a county-wide mass notification and warning system, ALERT Franklin County.

Bexley residents are now able to opt-in to receive critical information in real time via text message, phone (home, cell or business) and email. Residents can opt in to receive timely alerts from Franklin County Emergency Management System, as well as messages targeted from the City of Bexley for Bexley residents.

“We’ve been exploring mass notification systems for several years, and about a year or two ago became active with Franklin County’s effort to create a County-wide system that would also allow individual cities such as Bexley to provide information specific to our resident base,” said Bexley Mayor and Safety Director Ben Kessler. “The BexALERT/ALERT Franklin County partnership allows us to tailor messages to residents based upon what they want to be notified about, and by cooperating with a regional product like this we see substantial cost savings and ultimately end up with a better product.”

If you were unable to attend last night's meeting, we have posted the presentation and the draft park plan below for your review.  We would encourage you to send Michael Price, Recreation and Parks Director an email with any additional comments or questions that you have about the park plan.
