Jeffrey Mansion Master Plan Refresh

We'd Like Your Help!

Thanks in no small part to a generous commitment from the Bexley Community Foundation of $1,000,000. The City of Bexley is in the beginning stages of planning a renovation project at Jeffrey Mansion to help accommodate the continued growth of recreation programming and community space needs at the Mansion. The first step in the project planning process is to refresh the 2008 Jeffrey Mansion Master Plan in order to make sure we are aligning our plans to best serve the contemporary needs of the community. If you're interested in becoming involved with the steering committee, please visit for an application.

Tips for the Cold Weather in Bexley

Brrrr... Winterize your property for maximum quality and safety!

As the days get colder, please prepare your property for the conditions. Here are a few preventative tips for the winter season:

1. Turn off outdoor spigots - these can freeze and burst!
2. If you see a city water main break, please call (614) 559-4200 during regular office hours (M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm) or the non-emergency Bexley Police Department number after hours (614) 559-4444.
3. Keep sidewalks clear! It goes against our City's code to have too much snow on your sidewalk.
4. Change your furnace filter every 2-4 months to extend the quality of your furnace
5. Clean out your gutters. Clogged downspouts and gutters are the #1 cause of ice dams on household properties

Stay warm, Bexley!

Safe Conversations About Race - Series Kickoff!

Thursday, March 2st, 7:00 pm,  3rd Part -Bexley Public Library Auditorium

Join us for an interactive discussion about race with special insight into Bexley's past and present, in a safe space. Moderated by LC Johnson of the Columbus YWCA, this program will equip you with the tools to engage in conversations about race, challenge biases in your self and others, and tools for action. Bring your questions, observations and curiosity so that we can all grow from this intimate conversation. The dialogue will continue and develop over a series of three events in partnership with Bexley City Schools, the City of Bexley, and the Bexley Diversity & Inclusion Initiative. This series is funded by a generous grant from the Bexley Community Foundation.

While the program is a series of three, you are encouraged but not obligated to attend all three events. The conversation will evolve and be different at every event. The remaining series dates are:

Thursday, March 1, 2018

Thursday's inaugural conversation will begin at 7:00 pm at the Bexley Public Library Auditorium.
