Jeffrey Woods Festival

March 2, 2019 at Jeffrey Pool Parking Lot, sunrise to mid-afternoon

The 6th Annual Jeffrey Woods Festival will be held on Saturday, March 2nd from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Clifton Shelter House by the pool parking lot. Activities will include the Maple Syrup Production, the Wood Chop Shop (Registration is required), axe sharpening by Yellowood Design, an interactive wood working project, a sawmill demonstration, and more. The schedule of events is as follows:

8:00 am - 2:00 pm:  Maple Syrup Production (kid friendly)
8:00 am - 2:00 pm:  Wood Chop (Registration is required)
9:00 am: Sawmill Demonstration with Bexley hardwoods
9:00 am - 1:00 pm:  Wood Working Projects 
9:00 am - 1:00 pm:  Yellowood Design - Axe Sharpening and artisanal wood products

All residents are welcome to come enjoy the festival, but please note that the maple syrup workshop and wood chop shop require registration in order to officially participate. Unregistered visitors are still welcome to observe maple syrup production, and have an interactive tour of operations from one of our production assistants.  To register for events, visit https://apm.activecommunities.com/bexley/Home.

No healthy trees were harmed in the production of the Jeffrey Woods Festival. Please note that the unofficial urban lumberjack beard competition has officially been forfeited to the Mayor. The Jeffrey Woods Festival is an educational offering of the Bexley Arboretum and the Bexley Recreation and Parks Department
