OUR DEPARTMENT

The department offers over 250 program and leisure opportunities to residents and visitors of all ages.  With classes ranging from preschool to senior programs, from beginner to advanced, the department offers programs in the fields of athletics, arts and crafts, education, fitness, travel, and everything in between.  Over 20,000 residents and visitors take advantage of our programming opportunity each year.

The department maintains community parks, with over 50 acres and 8 parks and facilities.  The crown jewel being the Jeffrey Park - including over 35 acres of wooded area, passive and active green space, community pool, shelter house and Jeffrey Mansion.  The Jeffrey Mansion, built in 1905, was donated along with the grounds, to the City of Bexley by the Jeffrey family for the use of recreation and leisure.
